Engaging the Community in the Light of Christ

Christus strives to provide worship and fellowship that will give you both a sense of belonging as well as a connection to serve the larger community in both Greenville, Wisconsin and also the whole, wide world.

At Christus Lutheran Church, we welcome and celebrate all who come to experience God’s gracious love in Jesus.

“You will always find a home here for you and your family.”

Growing in Christ and sharing God’s grace with courage, love, and purpose.
— Christus' Mission Statement

In God’s grace, we strive to do this and more! It’s a gift to be alive, together, engaging the community in the light of Christ’s love, right here in Greenville.

Pastor Erik Roth

Pastor Erik began serving at Christus Lutheran in September 2022. He is married to Tauna and they have two children, Nozomi and Ronin. The Roth family also includes Morgan, their beloved Tibetan Terrier.

Pastor Erik grew up in Colorado Springs, CO, and spent every childhood summer at his grandparent’s house in Door County. He graduated from Lawrence University with a degree in Environmental Science. After college he taught English and volunteered in South Korea, Thailand and Nepal for a couple years. It was during this time in Asia that he heard God’s call to pastoral ministry, and he began his studies at Luther Seminary in St. Paul, MN graduating in 2011. Pastor Erik’s first call was at Tokyo Lutheran Church in Japan. Nozomi and Ronin were both born in Tokyo. After returning to theUnited States, Pastor Erik served churches in Northern Minnesota before coming to Christus Lutheran in 2022.

Pastor Erik is passionate about serving others, creating caring community, and providing hospitality as a means for growing together and celebrating the gifts we share in and through the Body of Christ. Highlights of pastoral ministry for Pastor Erik are leading Bible Studies, connecting to the global church and participating in youth ministries. It is one of his greatest joys to gather people together in community, building caring relationships that encourage others to live into their gifts from Christ and use them to mold God’s world into a more peaceful, loving and faithful place.

In his downtime you might find Pastor Erik building wood projects in his garage, enjoying Wisconsin parks with his family, and cheering on the Packers on Sunday afternoons.
