“Covid gave us the opportunity to explore different churches. My family and I tested a few but really found one that felt the most “home” to us. We have been going to Christus Luthern church in Greenville for a year now and honestly, this is the best I’ve felt for a long time. I feel happy when I leave. I feel like we are praying for the things that really matter, things that are of much more importance to me. We truly welcome everyone to receive communion. I feel like the message is considerably more “how to love other people and be more God-like”. Today’s sermon was about how people who use a singular verse from the Bible to vilify people are doing it wrong, that that wasn’t Jesus’ intent and I never felt more like cheering at church IN MY LIFE.”
